Beas Kund trek is an amazing trek because you have to trek to the source of the gigantic Beas River. You’ve already got a glimpse of this giant river on the way to your Manali. Beas Kund trek is a breathtaking trek is because you are trek through mountains, tree lines, and in the end, in green meadows grassland you found the beginning of Beas river. If you are new to trekking or this is the first time you are trekking this trek is best for you to explore trekking.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Drive to Solang Nala & trek to Bakrathatch

We start our drive from Manali to Solang Nala/ Solang valley it will take us about 1 hour to get there. From Solang, we start our first day’s trek to get Bakrathatch we need to cover 8 km in 3-4 hours. You will be walking through a forest tree line of oak trees and walnuts you can also found pine trees and a variety of trees during this trail. For walking almost 4-5 km you will reach Bakrathatch where you get to spend the rest of the night at our campsite. From here peaks like Deo Tibba and Indrasan peak is visible on your back you can found 7 sisters peaks too.


Day 2 Bakrathatch to Beas Kund and Back

Today early morning, after breakfast we start our journey to our destination. For walking for almost 20 minutes the grassland now has ended and now our path is rocky and filled with boulders. In winters this path is cover with snow. After walking for 4-5 hours on this trail, there you are watching beautiful lake the origin of Beas river. The sight will make you awestruck. You found yourself surrounded by snowcapped mountains around you green grass if you are trekking in summer otherwise snow around you and front of you lake. It all seems like you are in heaven. After spending some time on the lake and clicking beautiful pictures we now have to head back to our campsite.


Day 3 Bakkarthatch to Solang Nala

Today after the meal we trek down to Solang Nala from where we started our journey to Beas Kund lake. After reaching Solang we drive back to Manali.

Trek Fee Includes:

  • Accommodation: From Day 1 to last day of the trek accommodation will be provided at campsite.
  • Meals: From Dinner on Day 1 to Breakfast on Last day of trek are included. Himalayan Trekker Provides on Vegetarian food.

  • Stay at Manali on the last day
  • Anything apart from inclusions

Cancellation Polices:

  • Cancellations prior to 15 days from the start of the Trek: Get a full refund (minus 5% transaction cost). The money will be transferred to the same bank account from where the transaction was made.
  • Cancellations prior to 10 days from the start of the Trek: 50% Cancellations Charges. The money will be transferred to the same bank account from where the transaction was made.
  • Cancellations less than 7 days of departure: Unfortunately, NO REFUND.

1. Is it a good trek for first-timer?
Yes, Beas Kund Trek most good for first timers as it is a small trek and the terrain is an easy one. Apart from this, all the safety measures are taken by the guides and they will make your experience even more wonderful and safe.
2. What medicines I should carry? Can I take diamox?
You can carry you own personal medicines and firs-aid kit with you, but make sure you have consulted the concern doctor before carrying medicines and before consuming any medicine discuss with your trek leader. Yes, you can carry Diamox only if you have Doctor's prescription.
3. What is Beas Kund famous for?
Beas Kund is a thousand-year-old alpine lake nestling proudly amidst the hilly mountain ranges of Himachal Pradesh. Tucked at an altitude of around 3810 meters featuring a taintless beauty and lush green grasslands. The water body here holds spiritual significance. It is believed that Sage Vyas used to bath here while writing the Hindu epic – Mahabharata. The contrasting sight of this pious water body encircled all over by jagged mountain ranges transforming it to a picturesque travel destination. This place is an excellent pick for all those to rewind and rejuvenates themselves in the lap of Mother Nature.
4. Will there be mobile connectivity?
During your trek, you may find mobile connectivity in some places. But for the majority of times, there will no mobile connectivity during the Hampta Pass trek.
5. How is Beas Kund Weather?
Beas Kund weather remains cool in most of the months. The temperature drops down to 0 degrees in the winter but the summers are quite comforting with a temperature range of 10 degrees to 18-degree celsius. The precipitation is not much high that makes the air humidity-free and apt for trekking.
